Joseph Oluwasegun

Bio

Joseph Oluwasegun (b. 1993), obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in painting from the Faculty of Art,Design and Printing at the Yabatech College of Technology. During and after this time in school and in the digital art space, Joseph was exposed to wide range of artistic styles and movements, inspiring him to experiment with diverse mediums. His creative evolution began with a recognition of art’s infinite scope. Workshops, tutorials, and experimentation in digital spaces sharpened his dual fluency in both traditional and modern methods a synthesis that ultimately revealed his signature concept, “SCARIFISM.” Through a lens blending surrealism and African aesthetics, his work navigates identity, self acceptance, and societal narratives, grounding the abstract in cultural resonance.
