In a world often overshadowed by uncertainty, Ekene Ngige’s exhibition “This Little Light of Mine” invites us to pause and reflect on the resilience and optimism inherent in childhood. Using coffee as his medium, Ngige crafts a narrative that transcends the ordinary, transforming a simple beverage into a powerful symbol of hope and potential.
IJE UDO
Ije Udo, meaning “Journey to Peace” in Igbo, is a profound meditation on rebirth, resilience, and the sacred power of the female body as both vessel and storyteller. In this body of work shown at ART X LAGOS 2025, performance and visual artist Victoria Ndubuisi transforms her personal journey through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum healing into a collective ritual of renewal.

For Uthman Adewale, these words are more than a declaration, they are a philosophy of living and making. Over nearly three decades of consistent practice, Uthman has built a foundation that rests not only on fleeting inspiration, but on the steady rhythm of work. Each brushstroke, stitch, and layer of fabric testifies to his belief that creativity is cultivated through persistence, not luck voices passed down in song.
