Abimbola “boyer” Alade is a self taught contemporary abstract artist and curator based in Abuja (FCT), Nigeria.
Working primarily in mixed and textured acrylic medium. He draws inspiration from real life events, politics, religion, music, state of mind, quality of life and love. Through layered compositions, texture, and expressive form, his work aims to create emotional and visual connections with viewers.
Alade began his artistic journey in 2015 with photography in Obafemi Awolowo University where he studied Animal Sciences and have since morphed into different forms of art including brand identity, street-wear designing and eventually abstract artistry in 2021. His love for art and design made him acquire more knowledge in design as he is a certified product designer. His body of work over time reflects both contemporary and timeless aesthetics as well as personal storytelling.
In addition to his studio practice, he is involved in art curation, collaborating with collectors, homeowners, and interior designers to integrate artworks into modern spaces.
