Nomadic Art Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition, “Truly Nomadic”, a dual solo exhibition featuring artists who live a nomadic or semi nomadic lifestyle, driven by a desire for exploration and a sense of freedom, seeking new perspectives and creative stimulation from their travels.
The exhibiting artists - Stacey Ravvero and Francis Agemo, often create and exhibit their work while on the move, drawing inspiration from various cultures, landscapes, and experiences they encounter during their journeys and often find inspiration in the transient nature of their surroundings and use their art as a means to raise awareness about social or environmental issues.
Through history and architecture, exposure to diverse cultures, escape from routine, expanding boundaries, transcending language barriers, adventure and spontaneity, travel provides these artists with a myriad of experiences, encounters, and stimuli that can ignite their creativity. From sensory impressions and historical heritage to encounters with the unfamiliar and the introspection it fosters, travel offers a vast array of inspiration for them to explore and incorporate into their artistic endeavors.
The exhibition explores the themes of cultural diversity, human connection, and the transformative power of travel. The featured paintings and sculptures does not only capture the impact of the artists’ nomadic lifestyles on their artistic expression but also reflects and celebrates the nomadic artists' journey and the world they have traversed.
