Stacey Ejiroghene Okparavero, creatively known as Stacey Ravvero, is a multidisciplinary artist & author from Delta State, Nigeria. Her multifaceted practice currently investigates the human experience, while focusing on socio-political and environmental issues, executed through robust sensory experiences and diverse media. Including metal fabrication, painting, poetry and performance installation/art.
She has a diverse creative background in visual art, theatre and music which is evident in her artistic practice, and the way she navigates the synthesis of multiple media. The artist holds a B.A. in Visual Arts from the University of Lagos and an M.A. in the history and business of the contemporary art market from the University of warwick.
Her work has been shown across Berlin, Lagos, London, Chambéry, Tennessee, Dakar, Accra, Nairobi and New York, to name a few. Some notable exhibitions she has featured in include; Leave the leaves, Unravelling the under-development complex, Savvy Contemporary, Berlin Germany in 2022, Pisitions Art Fair Berlin 2023, Gallery of Small things Dakar Biennial Off, Senegal in 2018, Art Expo New York, in 2019, LineGuage at the Centre for Contemporary Art Lagos, Nigeria in 2018. Her work is held in prestigious private and public institutions across Nigeria, France, UK, United States, Ghana, Germany, Russia and Kenya.
